Our lesson planning begins
A makeover is a lot of work. We have new respect for teachers.
We cannot even agree with each other.
We cannot even agree with each other.
The web 2.0 tools are hard to get into the lesson because the teachers are not used to using technology and the students are not either. I mean we use it for games and texting and sending pictures but not for learning. Our education is very traditional.
But, we are determined to succeed. Back to the planning stage.
We had no idea how much work this would be.
Step 2- Training to Plan a Lesson
This is where the training comes in. We had no idea how teachers teach so we consulted the experts.
This is how it began
Students were falling asleep in class.
Students who were proficient on NJASK science in 2009 were now failing. Students discussed it and decided it was time for a takeover. This is how it began.
